Tour Information & FAQs
This private Balandra, La Paz and Todos Santos day trip is exclusive to your group, with a dedicated bilingual guide and a schedule you control. There is no shared van, no fixed departure list, and no strangers. You decide how long to swim, when to eat, and how much time to spend in each town.
Yes, if you value time and space. Our private tour gives you 2.5 hours at Balandra, versus about one hour on the main shared group tour. In Todos Santos, you get 1.5 hours versus roughly 30 minutes. Pickup is a humane 6:00 AM, not 4:30 to 5:30 AM, and the Balandra access wristband is included.
This private day trip suits travelers who want a relaxed pace, real time in the water, and a guide focused only on their group. If a lower price matters more than schedule flexibility, the shared bus option can be a reasonable choice. For families, couples, and small groups who value flexibility, private is the better fit.
Balandra is a protected bay near La Paz, a CONANP natural protected area known for shallow, calm, turquoise water over white sand. Its landmark is the Hongo de Balandra, an eroded mushroom-shaped rock that became a symbol of Baja California Sur. The gentle, waist-deep shallows make it one of the safest swimming beaches in Mexico.
Pickup and drop-off are included from hotels and vacation rentals across the Los Cabos area.
- Cabo San Lucas hotels and vacation rentals
- San Jose del Cabo hotels and vacation rentals
- The Tourist Corridor resorts between the two towns
Since February 2026, non-resident visitors to Balandra need a digital access wristband, purchased in advance through CONANP. We arrange and pay for yours, so it is included in your tour.
- Two daily entry windows: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Capacity of 450 visitors per window, on a first come first served basis
- Our 8:30 to 11:00 AM visit falls inside the morning window
- The wristband is included and handled by us, never an extra charge
Bring swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable shoes for walking in Todos Santos. Balandra is a protected natural area, so take all trash with you and avoid disturbing the marine life. Carry a card or some cash for meals and souvenirs.
Yes. Xaman-Ha Connections® is a SECTUR certified operator, and our certified bilingual guides run every trip in person, never a subcontracted driver. The company has been featured in Forbes and Kayak. See more about our team and credentials on our About page.
