• The Temple of the Descending God and the Temple of the Frescoes contain original Mayan carvings and murals depicting Mayan cosmology and the agricultural calendar. Both are rare surviving examples of pre-Hispanic art in the Yucatan.

The one-way drive takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from the Cancun Hotel Zone, depending on highway conditions on Federal Highway 307. We factor in drive time so your total morning runs about 6 hours from pickup to return.

Photography is allowed throughout the site. Professional equipment may incur additional fees charged directly by INAH at the entrance. Drones are prohibited. If you are bringing professional gear, let us know when booking so we can help coordinate at the entrance.
